7-1-11 We just did the debut recording for a new show on the new UGA tv station, WUGA-TV. The show will be called "UGA Performs" and will air around October. We have also uploaded five new promotional videos that we did ourselves. We recorded Rodrigo's Cuatro Piezas and Gottschalk's "The Banjo." Check them out on our youtube channel.

3-28-11 Just played for one of the largest and oldest guitar societies in the country, the St. Louis Classical Guitar Society. In driving back, I think we were all in agreement that this was the best concert we've given to date! And the majority of the audience seemed to approve, since we got a standing ovation, curtain-call, and played an encore! The crowd was so incredibly friendly to us, as well as the members of the society. Our special thanks goes out to Bill Ash, president of the society. We'll see you in Columbus at the GFA! The students in the masterclass were wonderful, and all in all we couldn't have asked for a better trip. Can't wait to go back and play in St. Louis again. Also, the Ethical Society was a wonderful hall. One sad note, the Arch was sold out of tickets, so we only got to see it from the outside! Oh, well.

3-16-11We recently traveled to the city of Oak Ridge, TN, to play for the Oak Ridge Civic Music Association. It was one of the best audience responses we've received in all our time together. Every piece ended with a "here, here!" or "bravo!," which was pretty awesome! Our current program seems to be just the right mixture of serious and light music to keep the audience engaged, and it lasts (with tuning, talking, and intermission) around an hour and forty-five minutes. We are headed to St. Louis in a little over a week, so we are rehearsing like mad to fine-tune everything even further. We'll be back with more in a bit!

BTW, Oak Ridge is the home of the Oak Ridge National Laboratory - one of the DOE's many high-end labs that focuses on energy tech and defense. Just about everyone we met was a current or retired physicist. Needless to say, very intelligent crowd! Also, our thanks to Bill Schwenterly.
